Rain, Rain Go Away!

This nasty weather has put an abrupt stop to Daniel's porch progress.  And tractor playing time.  So my yard hasn't gotten mowed... Anyway- here's the progress so far.. It may have to stay this way for a while, seeing as how we will be in Memphis later this week!!

Wood and doors are in place- next up, screen!



A Pretty Place..

I finally got the husband to hang the big mirror! I love it!!  If you happen to notice that the couch isn't in that spot underneath it anymore, its because of well.... it's a long story- ask me about it the next time I see you (if Ashlyn hasn't already blurted out to you about what happened...)  The couch is now in front of the big double windows on the other side of the room.  Again, LONG story...

Sa-tis-fied

I am LOVING looking at this new bright blue wall.  (The actual color is 'Hang Ten'- a valspar signature color; and don't believe them when they say it's a 'one coat to cover' kind of paint- it's so not! This took 2)

The living room is a much happier place now, since that dreaded plain white wall is gone! 

Next up- shelves, new carpet, and baseboards!!  (And, of course, tidy up the living room!)

So Far, So Good

It's a complete cluster you know what in here now... but tomorrow we will get this finished!!

Actually, the husband just tuned it to Outlaw Country, so we may just get this painting done tonight!

A Wonderful Way to Celebrate

What better way to celebrate a one year anniversary than by waking up at 6 a.m. and going shopping at Lowe's?  We've had a lot going on today... Some of our goodies from Lowe's-

(No- Daniel was not happy that I was snapping photos of him in Lowe's)

We are getting started on the screened porch!! And I will be inside painting the living room- only a little at a time, don't wanna get the baby all high on paint fumes.

I'm anxious to see how much we get done this weekend!!
